At Woodland Acres Farm, we have a passion for animal care of all types and sizes. Established in 2022, we began with a flock of Pekin Ducks and have grown to include a small herd of alpacas, Nigerian Dwarf goats, Saanen goats, Buff geese (and more Pekins!), and Easter Egger chickens.
Our journey started during a family vacation in 2021 while traveling through Wyoming. We spotted a beautiful herd of alpacas gracefully running across a homestead field. Intrigued by these majestic and super-fluffy animals, we felt inspired to start something of our own.
We’ve always loved caring for animals. Since 2000, we’ve shared our home with Siberian Huskies and over the years expanded our furry family to include domestic bunnies, dwarf hamsters, and guinea pigs. After much thought and research, we decided to take the leap into farming.
As construction of the barn, alpaca paddocks and pasture was underway, we added our first farm animals in March 2022 – a beautiful flock of Pekin ducks. In the summer of 2023 when the barn and paddock construction was complete we added our herd of Alpaca – Elyza, Tallulah,
and Ahlani.
We continued our farm expansion in 2024 expanding our Pekin duck flock, adding 3 Buff Geese, and welcoming our first flock of Easter Egger chickens. But our expansion didn’t end there! In 2025 we increased our flock of Easter Egger chickens and added our herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats…Charlotte, Clara, and Isobel…being thrilled to increase that herd with Isobel’s kidding and the birth of Lucy, Harry, and Samson.
Today we continue to expand adding two Saanen does to our farm, Mamie and Michelle. These lovely ladies will complement our raw and pasteurized goat milk dairy products.
Currently the farm sells farm fresh duck, goose, and chicken eggs, as well as Grade A raw goat milk and goat milk soap and lotion. We also have a variety of alpaca products such as socks, scarves, mittens, and headbands.
We are continuing the expansion of farm operations with our newly constructed milk house and are finalizing the proper licensing
and certifications to sell farm fresh pasteurized goat milk products.
Our farm also has a garden and greenhouse for a variety of fresh seasonal produce for sale.
